"Follow The Path Paved Before You"

Deacon Asaph

On my quest to connect with the one true GOD, I stumbled upon the Holy Bible. Although I had one in my house, and was forced to go to church every Sunday as a young man, I realized I had no real understanding of what the Bible really meant. I was working at a place where I met a friend who was into Islam. He introduced me to the Koran and explained to me the teachings of Louis Farrakhan. One day as we began to study after work, a coworker approached us and asked what it was that we were studying. When I told him it was the Koran, he immediately told me it was garbage and totally condemned the teachings. After presenting a compelling argument against the Koran that left my teacher speechless, he told me the Bible was the black man’s true book. The next day we met after work. He showed me that the Israelites were black, and that the most famous man to ever walk the face of the earth, CHRIST, was black! That was in the year 1996 and I’ve never put the Bible down since that day.
We studied for about six months, and then he left the job to work at a different facility. Before he left, he introduced me to another coworker who turned out to be Bishop Yawasap. I wore out his doorstep with question after question and consumed every waking moment of his free time to teach me what he knew about the scriptures. He gave me tapes of street teachings, and guided me through book after book containing information proving that we indeed are the Israelites. After teaching me everything he knew, I then tried to teach everyone I encountered all that I had learned. On many of the tapes I watched, I learned about a whole Israelite community that was trying to teach our people their true identity according to GOD. Bishop Yawasap explained to me that many of the men in the recordings were once powerful teachers, but due to not practicing what they learned in the Bible, they were no longer filled with the right spirit to lead men on the path to Christ.
After 10 years passed, Bishop Yawasap told me he obtained the telephone number of Bishop Nathanyel who always seemed to stand out from other teachers I watched on tapes. We made contact with him and found out that his understanding far exceeded the understanding we had at the time. We then studied with Bishop Nathanyel and joined his congregation. We are now known as Israel United in Christ. Our quest is to find our lost brothers and sisters seeking the truth, and guide them on the path to repenting in Jesus the CHRIST.
